Hotel was originally called the Baker's Bungalow and was built approximately 123 years ago it has been restored and re-decorated as the original colonial bungalows. As the lake Vembanand flows right by these bungalows and the sylvian bird sanctuary is right by its side only thing that might disturb guests here is the sweet chirping of birds. Hotel has now been overtaken by the Taj group of hotels and is now taking care of the hotel. Hotel also have a private laogoon that act as a private parking lot for the houseboats.
